Earlier today the internet villain TmarTn released a video that he claims is an apology for recent events. In this video the YouTube star with an audience of millions of young gamers attempted to justify profiting off underaged gambling. The entire two minutes feels as though it was written by lawyers. Here is a breakdown of TmarTn’s underaged gambling apology video.
TmarTn Apology Video Reaction
While TmarTn’s legal team probably thought this video was a good idea, the gaming community thinks otherwise. Although a portion of TmarTn’s subscribers are young, most of them are mature enough to see through his bullshit. Here were the recent comments when I went to view today’s video. I did not even have to scroll down to find some that fit the narrative:
It has been three hours since TmarTn posted the apology video. The like-to-dislike ratio speaks for itself. The formerly beloved member of the Call of Duty community is turning into a human embodiment of the Infinite Warfare release trailer.
Why The Video Failed
TmarTn’s attempt at damage control was a disaster. His apology feels plastic; designed and built by his team of scrambling lawyers. He does not even attempt to fake remorse for what he has done. The video starts off with him talking to his dog, followed by him taking a deep breath. I know this was scripted because it is exactly what I would have done if I wanted to parody a TmarTn apology.
He goes on to tell his audience that he loves them and that they have changed his life. Considering that he makes millions of dollars off them each year… no shit. He admits to lying to his viewers by stating that his ownership of underaged gambling site CSGO Lotto has been of public record since the company was first organized in December 2015. This contradicts his earlier videos where he mentioned that they were nothing more than a sponsor.
If you have not already thought that TmarTn was a scumbag for profiting off underaged gambling, this next part will convince you. The YouTuber states that he wants to apologize to “each and every one of you who thought [his ownership of CSGO Lotto] was not made clear.” What in the actual fuck? The reason why so many people think it was not made clear enough was because you were blatantly lying to them. Videos made with fraudulent information with the goal of getting an underaged audience to open up their bank accounts to you.
The underaged gambling kingpin says that he wants all of his businesses to be in compliance with the law. He says that he does not condone minors under the age of 18 to use CSGO Lotto. This is coming from the guy who edited his video descriptions to add an underaged gambling disclaimer only after he had made his money and had been called out. He mentions that he is covered because it said so in the website’s terms of service and signup agreement:
This is one of the biggest issues with underaged CSGO gambling sites. Due to the fact that they are unregulated, there is no true verification of user age. Offshore real-money betting sites also operate under gambling licenses issued by countries that have legal online gaming. The only difference between them and the virtual betting sites is that at least they have the decency to verify each customer’s age and identity through valid photo ID, passport, utility bill, and bank statement. None of this happens on CSGO gambling sites, because they know it would cut into their profits by a large margin.
Illegitimate CSGO Lotto Games
TmarTn addresses the issue of admins having the ability to see the roll results before the games occur. He states that he believes that every game offered on CSGO Lotto has been legitimate, and that he is committed to making sure that remains true. This line seems especially scripted, which draws our attention towards his choice of words. He uses “believes” instead of something more convincing like “knows”. While this seems a bit sketchy, we will bookmark it for a later date.
TmarTn Underaged Gambling Apology Verdict
The overwhelming hate on TmarTn’s apology video speaks for itself. I am not sure what we should have been expecting from the underaged gambling site owner, but some signs of remorse could have helped. TmarTn’s apology seems to have been written by a lawyer who was hired to protect his money from the upcoming lawsuits. While the YouTube star is no longer lying about his ownership of CSGO Lotto, he still cannot bring himself to apologize for making millions of dollars off underaged gambling. Maybe tomorrow he will change his mind. He seems to be good at that.
