Bill picked up his first winning week of the football season with his Week 10 picks. The Texans, Eagles, Seahawks, and Redskins powered him to a 4-1-0 (+$3900) mark with Bengals +2 still pending. This brought his season-long record to 31-39-1 for a net of -$11,300.
Bill Simmons’ Losing Streak is over: Our long national nightmare has finally come to an end. The last 10 weeks of Bill Simmons has been a disaster: 9 straight losing betting weeks to start the 2016-17 NFL season, the cancelation of his HBO show Any Given Wednesday, and somehow managing to mush the Donald Trump into the White House by parlaying Hillary Clinton with the Patriots to win the AFC east. What the fuck.
Despite Bill Simmons’ losing streak his overall numbers really are not that bad. Some of the people reading this article might laugh at his 9-straight red weeks while secretly wishing they were only down 11.3 units for the year. You can view the breakdown of his bets by week at the end of this article.
HBO officially cancelled Bill Simmons’ show Any Given Wednesday last week. The show received weak ratings (200,000 average viewers), with the last show bringing in an abysmal 82,000 mark. Bill has a point when he mentions the difficulties of having to compete with major media draws such as the Olympics, Presidential Election, and World Series. The New York Times describes the situation well:
As for the Hillary bet… well that is just classic mush.

Bill Simmons NFL Picks Week 10: Seriously Bill, what the fuck. Bill Simmons turned in another week of losing picks going 1-4-0 (-$3400) with his lone victory coming with the Detroit Lions. Through the first 9 weeks of the NFL season Bill has managed to lose every single one of them. Bill Simmons’ betting record for the 2016-17 NFL season is 26-38-1 for a net of -$15,200 (-15.2 units).
Steph and I were on the road this week which is why the three weekly tracking articles are not going online until early Monday morning. To keep things authentic I ensured that my picks were tweeted out on our official account Sunday morning. I used Pinnacle lines available at 9:25 AM Eastern time:
This is just a brief archive article. I will update the official record later this week when I am back in New York. I anticipate finally getting on a dedicated video recording schedule.

Bill Simmons NFL Picks Week 9: It looked like Bill had finally pulled off his first winning week of the 2016-17 season. His Week 8 picks against the spread had managed to generate a small +0.4% profit. We sent Bill a congratulatory tweet, hoping this might be the performance needed to turn around his abysmal betting season.
Then we received a direct message from one of our followers informing us that we neglected to track the one prop bet he gave out on the podcast. On Friday’s show with Joe House after locking in the Chiefs -2.5 (which won) he mentioned that he was also going to take them to score a defensive or special teams touchdown. This wiped out his 0.4 units of profit to hand him his 8th straight losing week. Unbelievable. Bill Simmons NFL betting record this season is currently 25-34-1 for a net of -$11,800 (-11.8 units).
Cousin Sal’s record for the 2016-17 NFL season is currently 13-8-0 (+$1150). Despite being 7-2 over the last 3 weeks he has dropped his last two best bets; both of which involved buying half a point. Here is the Cousin Sal NFL Picks Week 8 breakdown.
Falcons (-3) vs. Packers
Cousin Sal has placed $440 to win $400 on Falcons -3:
Dan Quinn has something to prove after poor play calling last week.
Green Bay is 2-6 against the spread in their last 8 games as an underdog of 4 points or fewer.
Packers lack a run-game.
Green Bay’s defense will have a tough time keeping up with Atlanta’s outside speed.
Saints (+3) vs. Seahawks
Cousin Sal has placed $550 to win $500 on the Saints +3:
Seattle is playing their second road game in a row.
Seahawks defense spent 46 minutes on the field last week.
New Orleans is 14-3 against the spread in their last 17 games as an underdog.
Best Bet: Parlay Patriots and Broncos (-106)
Cousin Sal is risking $636 to win $600 on a Patriots/Broncos moneyline parlay:
Both the Patriots and Broncos are looking for revenge over their opponents.
Tom Brady 8 touchdowns and 0 interceptions this season.
Bills will not have a good run-game.
Denver just lost to San Diego two weeks ago.
Broncos are 8-1 straight-up in their last 9 home games.

Free NFL Picks Week 8: It has been a very busy week working to get Arjan’s website launched. I realized late last night that I had not made the weekly picks video or article. It is currently 2:44PM at the time that I am writing this sentence so I have missed the London and Early games for Week 8. We will still have three picks for this week:
Chargers ML (+176)
Chargers +4 (-105)
Bears +4 (-106)
Season Record
I will update this section in each week’s article. I am using a starting bankroll of $100,000 for tracking purposes and I will be risking a fixed 1% of my weekly entry balance. Our carry-in balance for this week is $103,293 so we will be risking $1033 per pick:
